Marian sat staring at the letter she'd written for a few minutes. She hadn't figured if home was the right place to go when one felt the way she did. Home was not a beautiful respite, or a sanctuary that would offer arms open help.

But even though Milliways had more things going for that than Nottingham, it was lacking in the one that counted.

It wasn't home.

Folding the note, she made her way out of her bedroom to leave it for him where mail was picked up.

Dear Tom,

I've released Ingress from class for a few days. I need to take a trip back home.
